India, the world’s largest democracy, has nurtured closer relations with Myanmar’s military junta over the past two years, including providing weapons at least four times since the 2021 coup d'etat, two humanitarian and advocacy organizations in India said, Radio Free Asiareported.

The National Unity Government (NUG) has strongly welcomed Singapore's confirmation that it is prohibiting arms transfers to the illegal military junta in Myanmar.

The European Union on February 20, announced a sixth round of sanctions on at least 9 individuals and 7 entities in military-ruled Myanmar.
